  • STRONGER DURABLE WEBBING: We use a top quality polyester webbing made in the USA just for us rather than the nylon used by most of our competitors because polyester repels water, doesn’t stretch like nylon when wet, and is 5x more abrasion-resistant than nylon.
  • HIGHEST QUALITY BUCKLE: We use Duraflex acetal buckles rather than more common nylon or metal buckles. Acetal buckles have higherr tensile strength than nylon, resist moisture better, and perform better under freezing or arid conditions. We chose acetal over metal because metal corrodes in salt water, creating problems when dogs go swimming (as they often do here in the Pacific Northwest). Duraflex buckles are considered among the best buckles in the world & are used by the US military.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG'S NECK

Have your dog sit or lay down next to you. Using a soft measuring tape or ribbon, loosely measure around the dog's neck where the collar would naturally sit. Slide two fingers between the neck and the measure tape, mark that measurement. Adding the two fingers should make the collar size about two inches larger than the dog's neck to give a comfortable fit.

We searched and found the highest quality American-made parts around. Every piece is made by American workers - from the thread to the webbing to the buckles to the D-rings. In some cases, we convinced US manufacturers to make new items especially for us!

Our buckles are premium Duraflex buckle and triglide that are made from acetal, which is stronger than nylon and will not rust like metal buckles do when exposed to salt water.
The premium polyester webbing made just for us is more durable than standard nylon webbing. It is mold and mildew resistant, will not stretch or weaken when wet and doesn't fade from sun exposure.

Featuring a heavy duty quick clasp and the same premium webbing as our collars, Buttonsmith dog leashes make the perfect complement to your collar.
The heavy duty quick clasp is made in the USA and easy for you to attach the leash to your dog's collar even when the dog is moving around.
A D-ring is at the handle to attach things to or shorten the leash to half size.
May not be suitable for very small dogs due to the heavy duty clasp.
